On October 2 – 4, Avro GSE had a major presence at the International Airport GSE Expo in Las Vegas Nevada. IAGSE Expo is the only event solely focused on Ground Support Equipment for aviation and attracts more than 2500 attendees from a variety of industry groups including:
- Airlines
- Airports/FBOs
- Contract Service Providers
- Ground Handlers
- Military Aviation Operations
- GSE Suppliers, distributors and manufacturers
For Avro, the show was a major success as we established many new and valuable relationships with ground handling professionals while solidifying existing ones. Key areas of interest at the show revolved around our new powered equipment offerings:

The interest in electric vehicles was particularly strong as GSE fleet managers look for ways to transition their gas-powered vehicles to a cleaner and more cost-efficient way to power their fleet. In addition to a focus on equipment, there was a great deal of conversation around the use of Fleet Management Systems that monitor GSE to track use and location, control vehicle access and ensure safety compliance, and save fuel by reducing idle time. Our Avro Tracker GPS tracking system was on display and the center of countless demonstrations during the 3-day event.
Finally, the subject of proactive maintenance was a third area of interest for show attendees. Extending the life of newly acquired GSE with vendor-managed maintenance programs, like Avro Care, is a way to ensure maximum performance from your GSE while avoiding unscheduled repairs and unnecessary downtime.
