SafeSmart operations are based in Emerald Park, SK just outside Regina where we undergo service and operational activities for all equipment categories and distribute throughout North America.

We are currently looking for a resourceful and competent Receiver, possessing a demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize their day around customer demands, familiar with logistic practices, and strong skills in time management and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be independent, trustworthy, and dependable with 2-3 years warehouse experience.

Position Location: Emerald Park, SK

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Checking incoming orders to supplier packing lists and internal purchase orders.
  • Ensuring parts are stocked with appropriate identification and purchase orders are received in ERP system
  • Notifying interested parties of order discrepancies.
  • Unloading incoming product using a forklift, as well as unloading incoming sea containers.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and regular bin location updates and organizing.

The ideal candidate will:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES – ‘WHY DOES MY POSITION EXIST’

  • To assemble Avro cargo dollies as per approved drawings and procedures.
  • Assemble cargo dollies within time budget

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES – ‘HOW DO I ACCOMPLISH MY RESPONSIBILITIES’

  • Read and interpret technical drawings & blueprints.
  • Accurately lay out the work piece for efficient assembly of components.
  • Perform the first level of quality control by inspecting the accuracy and quality of his/her work performed.
  • Inform his/her superior when the work is ready for the next level of inspection.
  • Create jigs or templates in order to speed up repeated processes and increase productivity.
  • Maintain safe work practices.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Participate in daily shop clean up at shift’s end.
  • Perform other assigned work as required.
  • Attends all scheduled meetings as well as meetings required for production.
  • Perform administrative duties as directed by Manager.

Work with Avro Team to meet internal and external customer requirements. The Shipper / Receiver is responsible for shipping and receiving daily operations, as well as further operational responsibilities as directed by Operations team located in Regina, SK. The position requires the ability to work in warehouse setting. With some periodic outdoor work. Must be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced changing environment.

The Shipper/Receiver will be responsible for the following:

  • Communicate any issues related to product quality or workplace safety.
  • Learn about all our products and their use as well requirements of pieces and attachments to be packed and shipped.
  • Inspect incoming goods against packing lists and record applicable data to provide to Shipping Manager.
  • Learn about our powered equipment and the needs to prepare for shipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude to do light maintenance/repairs on smaller wheeled powered equipment.
  • Minimizes inventory shortages and improves inventory holdings.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy in material inventory.
