We are currently looking for a resourceful and competent Receiver, possessing a demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize their day around customer demands, familiar with logistic practices, and strong skills in time management and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be independent, trustworthy, and dependable with 2-3 years warehouse experience.

Position Location: Emerald Park, SK

Key responsibilities will include:

• Checking incoming orders to supplier packing lists and internal purchase orders.
• Ensuring parts are stocked with appropriate identification and purchase orders are received in ERP system
• Notifying interested parties of order discrepancies.
• Unloading incoming product using a forklift, as well as unloading incoming sea containers.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and regular bin location updates and organizing.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have two to three years experience working in a receiving/warehouse/inventory control position.

The Cargo Dolly Assembler is responsible to assemble Avro cargo dollies safely, efficiently and to Avro quality standards.

• To assemble Avro cargo dollies as per approved drawings and procedures.
• Assemble cargo dollies within time budget

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES – ‘HOW DO I ACCOMPLISH MY RESPONSIBILITIES’

• Read and interpret technical drawings & blueprints.
• Accurately lay out the work piece for efficient assembly of components.
• Perform the first level of quality control by inspecting the accuracy and quality of his/her work performed.
• Inform his/her superior when the work is ready for the next level of inspection.
• Create jigs or templates in order to speed up repeated processes and increase productivity.
• Maintain safe work practices.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Participate in daily shop clean up at shift’s end.
• Perform other assigned work as required.
• Attends all scheduled meetings as well as meetings required for production.
• Perform administrative duties as directed by Manager.

WORK CONDITIONS

• Standard mechanical shop working conditions.

• Attending to incoming service tickets in close collaboration with customers including troubleshooting and resolving equipment breakdowns in the field at airports throughout North America.
• Collaborating with 3rd party repair centers where applicable and performs repair service where required on customer equipment in the field according to the service ticket.
• Attending to internal service orders relating to rental and stock equipment including PDI’s, equipment upgrades, preparation for sale and rental returns.

• Preferably possess a mechanical trade certification with related equipment.

Work with Avro Team to meet internal and external customer requirements. The Shipper / Receiver is responsible for shipping and receiving daily operations, as well as further operational responsibilities as directed by Operations team located in Regina, SK. The position requires the ability to work in warehouse setting. With some periodic outdoor work. Must be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced changing environment.

The Shipper/Receiver will be responsible for the following:

• Communicate any issues related to product quality or workplace safety.
• Learn about all our products and their use as well requirements of pieces and attachments to be packed and shipped.
• Inspect incoming goods against packing lists and record applicable data to provide to Shipping Manager.
• Learn about our powered equipment and the needs to prepare for shipment.
• Mechanical aptitude to do light maintenance/repairs on smaller wheeled powered equipment.
• Minimizes inventory shortages and improves inventory holdings.
• Maintain high levels of accuracy in material inventory.
• Under direct supervision, perform work activities and independently solve routine issues.
• Assist coordination of freight for all shipments in and out of warehouse.
• Responsible for warehouse cleanup and organization.
• Support other duties that may be assigned on an as-required basis.
• Exhibit initiative and responsibility.
• Packaging/palletizing of aluminum product & related items in coordination with Shipping Manager & Sales team.
• Receive all courier items and document as per system ensuring courier packages (envelopes and boxes) get to their intended recipient.
• Loading and unloading of product off of van trailers and flat decks using forklift below 3 tons.

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes, work experience, and qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Class 5 drivers’ license
• Forklift experience is an asset
• 2 to 4 years of work experience in shipping & receiving service environment
• Mechanical repair experience is an asset
• ERP system experience is a plus
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Works well under pressure with ability to problem solve and make decisions.

Work Conditions:

Typically, the knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are obtained through a minimum one (1) to two (2) years’ experience performing equipment maintenance, servicing, or minor mechanical repairs. Technical courses or training in a mechanical repair field or approved trade standing as an apprentice in the mechanical repair trade would be an asset.
